Minimum Internet Speeds
- Upload speed: minimum of 2mbps ; Download speed: minimum of 4mbps
- Additional speed requirements apply while using the screen sharing feature

- Windows 7 (or higher), Linux (Ubuntu 13.04 or higher),
- MacOS X (11.1 or higher)
- For mobile devices: iOS 12 (or higher) and Android 5 (or higher)
Web browsers
The web browsers that we support are: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge (Chromium Source). We recommend using the latest versions for the best user experience. We also support Safari Browser (version 12 or higher), and it is the only option for iOS devices.
Web camera In-built or external
Microphone and headsets NOTE: It is possible to get some acoustic feedback while using loudspeakers and/or a built-in microphone. That’s is why we recommend making sure that you have a headset ready before entering the room.
To avoid interruptions due to loadshedding, students are expected to make the necessary provisions such as having a sufficiently charged device and sufficient data for the session (approximately 1Gb per hour). Sessions will go ahead as planned.
Typically sessions are 1 hour long, but lessons can also be 90 minutes or 2 hours. The duration of the session is generally discussed and planned in advance.
Yes, support is provided for any of the subjects listed or available. A consultation session can assist to determine subjects, time and related costs.
All sessions must be pre-planned for the month ahead and payment is expected in full, before commencing lessons for the month. A consultant will be on hand to explain further and assist.
Students are expected to be prepared for the session by bringing the following items: laptop/tablet, have sufficient WiFi/Data (minimum 5mbps), have sufficient battery/power back-up for the device being used for the class duration, writing materials and calculator (if needed).
If you choose to cancel/adjust your session, please notify an Online Classroom Consultant and/or Tutor at least 48 hours in advance.
If you choose to cancel your tuition package before completion, please contact an Online Classroom Consultant.
All lessons are primarily in English. The exception is Language subjects, which can be taught in the specified language.
